The Felling of A Squadron Bar

Where call signs are earned, roasts hit harder than G-forces, and legends are poured one glass at a time. If these walls could talk, they’d still be arguing over who had the best gun kill. Here, stories don’t just get told—they get toasted.

Squadron Stories

  • Rocketeers
    Fighter Squadron

The World-Famous Flying Fighting Rocketeers (WFFFR!) also trace their history to World War II as one of the original “Eagle Squadrons” and have engaged in combat in every American conflict since. During Operation Desert Storm they dropped more than six-million pounds of bombs, mostly at night, and with lethality toast:

    Toast — "Blast 'Em!"
  • Lancers
    Fighter Squadron

After a successful mission, these modern-day knights proclaim to Throne, "Lower the drawbridge, roll out the red carpet, set the round table, gather the jesters, assembler the jousters, tax the peasants, pour the mead, and inform the king... the Lancer are back in the kingdom"

    Toast — "Joust"
  • Chiefs
    Fighter Squadron

The Chiefs became famous during the Korean War in which they led all fighter squadrons in aerial vecotries and became par of the "MiG Killer" legen. Most recently they engaged in air combat i the Middle East, shooting down dozens of kamikaze drones, and were lauded by President Biden as "being the best in the whole damn world." Only with a war cry can one yell:

    Toast — "Wampum!"
  • Eagles
    Fighter Squadron

In 1943, the Fighting Eagles were the first American fighter squadron to battle Hitler’s air armada in defense of English skies.
Composed of American volunteers flying the Spitfire, they claimed 395 kills and are honored to this day as being the First from the Eyries.
Raise a glass and toast this legacy with:

    Toast — "Knock 'Em Out!"
  • Stingers
    Fighter Squadron

Having flown the Spitfire, P-40, P-51, P-80, F-84, F-100, F-4, F-16, F-15C/D, and now the F-15E, the sole Reservist fighter squadron at Seymour retains the most experienced cadre of Strike Eagle instructors. Having gained fame for their combat exploits in World War II, none other than Walt Disney himself designed their squadron emblem with the iconic boxing Bee, with the toast of:

    Toast — "Put 'Em Up!"
  • We Want To Hear Your Story
Behind every call sign is a story worth sharing. Whether it's a moment of camaraderie, a mission that forged a bond, or a tradition that defines your squadron—we're collecting the toasts, roasts, and lore that make this community what it is. If it's 10% true and 100% legendary, we want to share it.

Who is Winglore?

Winglore Spirits was founded by a team of fighter pilots with a clear goal: to create a whiskey brand that honored their community, reflected their bold spirit, and could hold its own in a competitive market. Out to bottle the best damn whiskey available with the best damn wingmen in America, Winglore Spritis is about more than just drinking MACHtails, it's about the people who make life so legendary and to them - we toast!

Ernesto "Carlos" Howard
Carlos grew up in the mean streets of LA watching Top Gun, Goonies, and The Right Stuff. He enlisted in the Marine Corps at 17, later commissioned as an officer and flew the F-18 Hornet. Carlos has long wanted to bring spirits worthy of a warrior ethos.
Carlos, first in his "hood" to eject from a jet, street taco guru, fluent in Russian, with an uncle who owns Chamucos Tequila.
Founder, CEO, and Chief Spirits Officer
Jonathan "Stroke" Dippold
Stroke brings down the average age of the Founding Four Ship by a decade and still hangs with the cool kids flying the F-15E Strike Eagle as an Instructor Pilot in the Air Force Reserves and the legendary A-4 Skyhawk as an aggressor pilot. He decided if he had to “grow up and get a real job” (-the wife) it might as well be associated with the best damn whiskey and the best damn people in the world.
Stroke's not just an OK-ish wingman; he's the guardian of squadron traditions and keeps us honest on the Lore at Winglore Spirits.
Co-Founder, COO, and Chief Lore Officer #SNACKO
Robert "Trip" Raymond
Trip spent 23 years in the Air Force as an F-16 pilot, weapons officer and commander. He retired as an old crusty Colonel before transitioning to the business world. Trip is also a life-long musician and 1/2 of the fighter pilot band Dos Gringos.
More musician than pilot but still managed to not get fired from the Air Force, Trip keeps the fun in Winglore.
Co-Founder, CMO, Chief Roast Officer
Erik "EZ" Brine
Erik “EZ” Brine spent 26 years as an Air Force airlift pilot in roles from the cockpit to the Pentagon, 21 years as a husband, 18 years as a dad, 10 years as a bureaucrat in the State Dept, Senate, & White House, 10 years leading a non-profit, and 6 years in the private sector & academia, which explains his love of whiskey.
'Meh' pilot but a top-notch leader, reliable buddy, devoted spouse, and caring dad with a debatable taste in whiskey.
